VIP Parking and Flight Information

VIP Parking Passes are information regarding booking a flight are now available. Please visit the Balloons & Rides tab on the home page to see the pilots that are attending the 2019 festival. More are added daily as we complete the registration process. Note on booking… the festival does not broker or set flight prices. You need to take a look at the list and choose a pilot to contact. Also, only the pilots who have email and or phone numbers listed are booking flights. These fill up fast and very rarely can you just walk up and book at ride at the festival, so don’t wait!

In regards to the VIP Parking Pass these are available online only. They are sold by Warren County so the festival folks will not be able to assist with any pass issues such as replacements, etc. You will have to work directly through contacts on the Eventbrite page. If you are not familiar with what the passes get you, it allows you access from Dix Ave to Queensbury Ave in front of main airport terminal. Parking is closer and should get you in and out quicker only if you plan ahead and arrive early. Traffic is imminent so be prepared. General traffic will have to venture the Quaker Road to Ridge Road route which gets very busy. The staff and the county work very hard to get you into the event in a smooth manner. Pack your patience.

It's time to book a flight

Perhaps one of the most popular questions is, "How can I book a flight". We add pilots to the "Balloons & Rides" page as they register and their information comes in. We just added that first group of pilots so check them out over at that page. Please follow the procedures properly by only contacting a pilot that you'd like to fly with. Those listed with phone numbers and or emails can be contacted for flights. The festival will not broker rides and will not suggest a pilot for you. Each pilots set his or her own price as well.

DREAMSHIP!

Big, big announcement Monday! The Adirondack Balloon Festival is proud to announce that we will be welcoming the DREAMSHIP Balloon to the 2017 festival! The balloon was created by Folds of Honor with support of the Rite Aid Foundation. Folds of Honor is a not-for-profit organization which honors the nation’s fallen and disabled service members and their families. Funds raised by the organization is used to fund scholarships for the spouses and children of our fallen heroes.

The balloon was born in late 2016. The fabric of the balloon showcases artwork created by Folds of Honor scholarship recipients, symbolizing their hopes and dreams for the future. It stands over 8 stories high and features 130 unique drawings or dreams.

The new balloon will arrive in time to participate in this year’s opening ceremonies on Thursday, September 21, 2017 beginning at 4pm. Weather permitting, the balloon will offer tether rides (proceeds to benefit their scholarship fund) both Thursday and Sunday evening, and do free flights during the rest of the weekend.
